Barlean's Flax Oil for Animals

Flax Oil is a rich source of Omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and has been discovered to be "essential" to the health of animals and humans. Barlean's has taken the extra steps necessary to preserve the integrity of flaxseed oil, providing your pets with the valuable Omega-3 fatty acids they require for optimal health.

Benefits found with flax and the essential fatty acids in the health of animals:

  • Important for growth and development
  • Improved immunity against infection
  • Increased quantity and quality of milk in lactating animals
  • Development of beautiful and lustrous sheen in animal coats
  • Improvement of dandruff and dry, patchy skin

Healthy Pets

I got the Flax Oil for my cats to help improve their health. One the first day that I poured it on their food it was funny watching them because my first two cats kept sniffing it not sure what it was, then my third cat came up to the bowel, took a sniff and starting gobbling it down. Then the other two cats starting butting heads to get to the food and quickly gobbled it down too. Afterwards they ran around the house with lots of energy, I think it was from the B6 because I take B6 myself for energy.

Helping my dog

Posted by Reviewer1583532 on Feb 12, 2017 | Verified Purchase

My 13 yr old dog has arthritis and vitamin therapy is helping tremendously. I add this to other 'people' vitamins which I mix w/ cooked ground chicken and some rice. Vitamin therapy of E Now Dry E, Dry D, a canine multi vitamin and Creatine has made a big difference.. We want to avoid steroid shots. So far / so good, Almost one year of this remedy.

My old dog have skin problem, itchy, dander, odd smell. It needs to take cephalexin most of the time throughout a year, but I think it is not good for health... Now, my dog stop to take cephalexin and eat flax oil with meals for 1 month. I am happy with the changes. It's skin is much more better than before.
